POLICE SAY BETS WERE CONTINUED DESPITE THAT ERROR, AND A SUPERVISOR CAME OVER AND CONFIRMED THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME, PAYING WINS TO THOSE PLAYERS CHARGED IN THE CASE. Two men have been charged as part of an investigation into a cheating and theft conspiracy at Pittsburgh’s Rivers Casino.Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 told you last month that two casino workers and a player were already charged in a case involving alleged theft at an electronic roulette table game.They were identified as Robin Schnepp, a dealer, Anthony Laush, a supervisor and Jack Daniel Mars III, a player.All were charged in a case in which Schnepp would allegedly spin the ball in the same direction as the wheel, causing the sensors of the game to come to an error.Police said Laush, in his supervisory role, would be called over while players continued their bets due to the error state of the game. Police said, instead of voiding the spin for all players, Laush would use his supervisor fob to confirm the outcome of the number, thus paying wins to those players who knew that they could continuously bet during the errored state.A new criminal complaint said Chen Huan Lin, 67, and Joe Jeng Chiou Lin, 65, both of Wexford, benefited from this kind of scheme in incidents that happened on Feb. 22, Feb. 23 and March 8.Both men are facing several charges including felony counts of theft by deception and receiving stolen property.
