Do Aur Do Pyaar Review: Larger than life cinema has become the new definition of cinema for quite some time now, so relationship stories disappeared from the big screen for a while. Especially complex stories of marital relationships, but debutant director Shirsha Guha Thakurta has chosen this story of complex relationships for her film Do Aur Do Pyaar. A Hindi remake of the foreign film Lovers, the highlight of this film is that the sensitive story of love in marriage and finding love outside of marriage is told in a light-hearted tone and features strong performances by Vidya Balan and Prateek. Gandhi is made more interesting.

The story is complicated
Dentist Kavya (Vidya Balan) and her businessman husband Ani (Pratik Gandhi) are unhappy in their married life and are trying to find their happiness in extramarital affairs. Kavya is engaged to photographer Vikram (Senthil Ramamurthy), while Ani is married to actress Nora (Ileana D'Cruz). Kavya and Ani's affairs both want to start a new life with him, so both are pressuring Kavya and Adi to break the marriage. Both are confused about ending their marriage. Meanwhile, Kavya's grandfather passes away and Ani also has to move with Kavya to his home in Bangalore. There it seems that their relationship is 15 years old. 12 years of marriage and three years of dating. Both had love marriages against their families. There was a time when both were madly in love with each other. After confronting their past, this husband and wife come close to each other once again. Then the situation becomes such that they start keeping distance from their extramarital partners. Can Kavya and Ani save their marriage? What will happen when both of them find out about each other's extramarital affairs? Will there be a gap in their relationship again? You have to watch this movie to know the answers to all these questions.

Advantages and disadvantages of film
This is director Shirsha's first film and she has chosen the story of complicated relationships. The film brings to light the complexities and dilemmas of modern day relationships, including love, infidelity, betrayal that form the strong foundation of a relationship like marriage. Interestingly, he did not frame the story in any rhetoric or between the two boundaries of right and wrong. He has told this story of a complicated relationship in a very lighthearted manner, which makes this film special. This movie keeps you engaged throughout. The relationship between father and daughter is also depicted in the film. Talking about the flaws, the first half of the film is overwhelming. The story falters in the second half. The climax of the film is rushed. Do complicated relationships end so easily and everything goes back to normal? Vikram and Nora's backstory is also not given place in the film. The film needed to include the backstory of Kavya and Adi's involvement with extramarital partners. Talking about the dialogues, it is not heavy but does justice to the theme of the film and makes a deep impact. The cinematography of the film is excellent, while the music of the film gives a different color to the story, especially the use of the song Bin Tere Sanam.

The casting of the film is special
The USP of this film is its casting. Vidya Balan has once again played her role with full gusto. She makes us laugh and emotes emotional scenes too. He has lived his troubled character with great ease. Prateek Gandhi is an experienced actor, he has proved through this film. He has supported Vidya well. Sendhil spreads laughs with his broken Hindi, so it was good to see Ileana on screen after a long time. He portrays his character with both innocence and jealousy. The casting of Vidya's family in this film also has to be appreciated. Each character does full justice to their role.
