A criminal complaint says a fight involving bananas and a pipe ended with a store clerk facing charges and a customer in the hospital.Police said it happened Monday at the Sunoco Station on North Craig Street in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood.According to investigators, surveillance video shows a customer coming in and then throwing a banana at an employee and the employee throwing it back.Police said several bananas were thrown before the customer punched an employee in the face.According to the criminal complaint, that’s when Yubaraj Budhathoki, 26, of Pittsburgh, an employee of the store, grabbed a pipe and hit the customer in the head repeatedly.The customer was taken to the hospital in critical condition.Budhathoki is facing multiple charges including aggravated assault.He will face a preliminary hearing next month.
