Lahore: A video is going viral on social media where journalists in Pakistan can be seen boycotting presser held by Water and Resources minister Faisal Vadwa over his inappropriate remarks. A little less than 30-second video shows a journalist confronting the minister over rising corruption in the district.

Reportedly the journalist’s question irked Vawda and he replied that he was only answering because the journalist was elder to him. Vadwa also said that if this was someone else, he would not have even spoke on it and also put aside the mic.

Pakistani minister’s rude remarks prompted the journalists who staged a walkout and took back their mics boycotting the press conference.

According to a report by The News, the journalist who confront Vadwa was from an English Daily and questioned the minister over Rs 309 billion Mohmand Dam bid awarded to a joint venture of advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industry and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood’s firm Descon.

Despite apologies from the minister, the journalists continued with their protest and decided not to cover his presser.
