Or is all this terror ultimately not very human?
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – 2 seasons
Paramount is the studio of Star Trek. And as such, Paramount + offers in its catalog ALL the series of the Federation. From the original of the 60's to Discovery (seen for a while on Netflix in France) via The New Generationthere is something to explore the stars on board the ships Starfleet. But we recommend the latest one, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Centered on the years when Captain Pike was in command of the Enterprise, with a young Spock at his side, it joins the original series in spirit, while bringing a welcome touch of modernity.
Yellowstone – 5 seasons
This is the phenomenon that has conquered America in recent years. A soap-style western set in Montana, imagined by the brilliant Taylor Sheridan (director of Take Shelter notably). A family saga around an all-powerful ranch and the rivalries with its neighbors. Kevin Costner carries on his shoulders this plunge into the Wild West of today… And since there are only a handful of episodes left before the end, it's time.
The Curse – 1 season
Before his Oscar for Poor CreaturesEmma Stone was already in full trip in this series that redefined the very concept of “cringe”. Absolutely awkward and admirably assumed, this creation of Nathan Fielder & Benny Safdie makes fun of gentrification, reality TV, micropenises and human relationships in every sense. A dizzying and perfectly indefinable social comedy.
Interview with a Vampire – 2 seasons
Anne Rice's literary saga comes back to life on the small screen. After the cult film, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt make way for this adaptation that brings new blood. We find Lestat, the irresistible vampire and Louis, his new prey from New Orleans, but in a modern and revisited version, which will surprise you.
Tulsa King – 1 season
With season 2 coming this fall, it's a good time to discover Sylvester Stallone as a disillusioned New York mafia “capo” who has moved to Oklahoma. A cool, old-school thriller that rekindles the flame of the old Sly, who is still as impressive as ever.
