BUT I WON’T COMPLAIN ABOUT THE HEAT. I LOVE THE HEAT. PERSONALLY, PITTSBURGH’S ACTION TRAFFIC LOOKS GOOD FOR US. WE HAVE A SMOOTH SAILING ON THE FLOW MAP AS YOU CAN SEE, BUT WE DO HAVE A FEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS GOING ON. THE FIRST ONE HAPPENING UP IN SHALER GETTING STARTED AT 6:00 THIS MORNING. SO IN ABOUT TEN MINUTES VILSACK ROAD IS EXPECTED TO CLOSE BETWEEN MOREWOOD ROAD AND MOUNT ROYAL BOULEVARD THIS CLOSURE IS GOING TO BE IN PLACE FOR ONE WEEK, STARTING AGAIN TODAY AT 6:00 IN THE MORNING. YOU’LL HAVE TO FOLLOW POSTED DETOUR, FOR WHICH, IF YOU’RE FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA, THAT’S THOMPSON RUN ROAD WEST SUTTER ROAD, AND THEN MOUNT ROYAL BOULEVARD. THERE WILL ALSO BE SOME ADDITION

Allegheny County’s Department of Public Works said part of Vilsack Road in Shaler will close at 6 a.m. Monday and remain closed for about a week.The road will be closed between Morewood Road and Mt. Royal Boulevard.The closure will allow crews to work on drainage improvements.Detours will be posted. Periodic lane closures should be expected after the road reopens.
