A required course on “structural racism” at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA led a prayer to Mother Earth, which disturbed some conference attendees.
The UCLA Jewish Faculty Resilience Group spoke with numerous witnesses at the conference and wrote a letter to the administration Friday, calling for an “urgent and thorough external review” of its program to end to “political indoctrination”.

The witness went on to say that the speaker asked the class to get on the floor to participate in prayer.

The witness – who has monotheistic religious beliefs – said being presented to “pagan gods” created an uncomfortable situation.

The guest speaker also chanted for the Palestinians, the UCLA letter claims, sparking accusations of anti-Semitism from professors.
Elan Carr, former special envoy for monitoring and combating anti-Semitism under the Trump administration, responded to the incident. He called the course “indoctrination.”
