It's not just The Last of Us at Sony! Riding the buzz around season 2 of its successful series, Sony took advantage of CES 2025 in Las Vegas to announce the start of work on a film Horizon.
The president of Sony Pictures spoke of a film adaptation of live-action PlayStation video games, which have sold 32 million copies with Horizon: Zero Dawn And Horizon: Forbidden West.
The saga launched in 2017 with Horizon: Zero Dawn introduced us to a post-apocalyptic United States inhabited by robotic creatures, known as Machines, of different sizes. Horizon Zero Dawn is centered on an ambitious, intelligent hunter named Aloy. An outcast who seeks to uncover the past.
Sony officials revealed that Columbia Pictures and PlayStation Productions will jointly work on the film adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawnwhile an adaptation had been in development for a Netflix series for two years. No further details about the project have been revealed.
