A new fighting film by David Ayer.
A film where Jason Statham plays a placid big man who upsets mean big men who make the big mistake of underestimating him? Yes, we've seen that before. Obviously, A Working Man is not going to revolutionize the genre, but the trailer which has just been released promises a Statham movie totally exhilarating pure juice (see below).
He will play a construction worker, hired by a kind construction boss, after the death of his wife. A former soldier and member of the Royal Marines of the American army, he finds himself in the middle of a conflict with the mafia. When his boss's daughter is kidnapped, he sets out on a mission to find her. And it’s going to hurt, obviously!
Michael Pena And David Harbor will surround him at the casting while Jason Flemyng will do the bad guy.
A Working Man is made by David Ayer. The director of Suicide Squad of 2016 teams up again with Jason Statham a year later The Beekeeper (2024).
“Levon Cade is a repentant criminal. Today he works in construction. Soon his boss's daughter, Jenny, disappears, he is called to reuse the skills that made him a legendary figure in the world of operations secret” details the synopsis.
A Working Man does not have a release date in France, but should arrive in American cinemas on March 28. Being produced by Amazon MGM Studios, it could only have a streaming release on Prime Video here. What was the case for The Beekeeper.
