2024 NFL Draft: Steelers select Mason McCormick in Round 4

The Steelers chose offensive lineman Mason McCormick in Round 4 of the NFL Draft on Saturday.McCormick has been a guard with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. The Jackrabbits were the national champions in the 2022 and 2023 FCS playoffs. Zach Frazier, of West Virginia University, was the Steelers’ pick Friday, at number 51 overall, as Pittsburgh continued to build up its offensive line after selecting Troy Fautanu in Round 1 on Thursday.”It was unbelievable,” Frazier said. “I live an hour and a half away, and that’s the closest NFL team, and I just couldn’t be more excited. I don’t have words for it, really.””It’s rare that you find a guy with that kind of pedigree and his resume, the amount of snaps he has in college, and certainly his background in wrestling. He’s been a high achiever his whole life, and we couldn’t be more fired up to get Zach in the building,” Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith said.The black and gold added a receiver in Round 3 when they selected Roman Wilson from the national champion Michigan Wolverines.Another Wilson joined Pittsburgh’s draft class later in Round 3, as the Steelers chose linebacker Payton Wilson from North Carolina State.Pittsburgh will have two more selections on Saturday, both in Round 6 (178th and 195th overall).
