NYU students drop out, demand university withdraw from Israel

A group of New York University student protesters left their commencement hall Wednesday and demanded that university leaders divest from Israel.

As New York University opened its doors at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, a small group of students in graduation gowns chanted, “We will liberate Palestine.”

Some demonstrators had their hands painted red, while others held the Palestinian flag.

The group left the ceremony while it was in progress and called on university leaders to disengage and cut ties with Israel.
