Mike Tyson has accomplished just about everything a boxer can do in the sport: His next opponent, Jake Paul, has only 10 professional fights.
Tyson is in the conversation as the best boxer of all time. On the contrary, even if Paul has his sights set on becoming a world champion, he certainly has a long way to go.
But the butterflies are alive and well, even for the “baddest man on the planet,” who admits he's “scared to death” over his fight with the former YouTuber.

“I have a weird personality, but I don't think it's weird. Whatever I'm afraid to do, I do it. That's what it is,” Tyson told Sean Hannity Tuesday night. “I was afraid of the King [Jones Jr. fight [in 2020].
“I was 100 pounds overweight, but I was old, 54, 53, and I said, 'Let's do it.' Whatever I'm afraid of, I face it. It's my personality. Right now, I'm scared to death.”
But that’s what pushes Tyson back into the ring.
“I always believed that adversity and nerves catapulted me to success. If I didn't have those feelings, I wouldn't get into this fight. I have to have those feelings to fight. Without them , I would never participate in the ring.”
EX-UFC STAR SAYS MIKE TYSON TRAINING VIDEO FOR JAKE PAUL FIGHT IS ILLEGITAL
However, when “reality” sets in, Tyson will be all business and the butterflies will fly away.
“The closer the fight gets, the less nervous I become, because that's reality. And in reality, I'm invincible.”
Tyson says Paul has come “a long way from YouTube.”
“I saw a video of him on YouTube at 16 doing weird dances. That's not the guy I'm going to fight,” he said. “This guy is going to come, he’s going to try to hurt me, which I’m used to, and he’s going to be very wrong.”
