LIV Golf's Ian Poulter rips British Airways after airline loses clubs

Ian Poulter is set to take part in LIV Golf's Texas event this weekend, but at the moment he has nothing to play with.

The 48-year-old flew from Heathrow Airport to Texas earlier this week, but without his clubs.

Mid-flight, the airline sent Poulter an email “to inform you that a bag did not travel with you today” and asked Poulter to contact them for delivery.

“FFS @british_airways so disappointing [sic]” Poulter wrote on his Instagram Story, via The Daily Mail. “I checked in 2 hours 30 minutes before the flight. What could be the excuse? I just received the email after 3 hours of flight. I wouldn't have bothered to fly if you didn't send my golf clubs. I can't breathe fresh air.

“Talk about f—ing @british_airways. The golf bag wasn't too heavy,” he said in another post. “I took it in a large size, scanned it and watched it slide down the waistline. #Pathetic.”

Poulter later added that Henrik Stenson's clubs were also missing.

“You might as well find them while you [sic] I'm looking for mine. The only thing you do very well is charge for the flight,” Poulter wrote.

Fox News Digital has contacted British Airways for comment.

LIV plays at The Golf Club of Houston this weekend, followed by the U.S. Open at No. 2 Pinehurst. LIV's schedule will return to regular programming after the major tournament, when they travel to Nashville to play at The Grove.
