A Texas man was arrested for impersonating a police officer after trying to stop real deputies during a car race in Houston.
Shaun Arnold was driving a white Hyundai Santa Fe with red and blue flashing lights and sirens on Saturday when he tried to stop undercover Harris County sheriff's deputies during a race in Houston's Memorial neighborhood, they said. the sheriff's office in a press release.
Deputies thought something was wrong and notified Harris County units, resulting in a pursuit of Arnold until he was arrested.

Arnold was found wearing a uniform shirt, body armor, a body-worn camera and a security badge. He also possessed a BB gun, a Taser, police radios and other equipment typically used by law enforcement and was “fully equipped to deceive,” the sheriff's office said.
According to court records, Arnold has multiple prior arrests for impersonating a police officer in Texas, Illinois and Missouri, and is a convicted felon. He also has several other convictions in Missouri, including motor vehicle theft and theft, KHOU reported.

Arnold is accused of impersonating a police officer and being a felon in possession of a bulletproof vest. His total bail was set at $15,000.
The sheriff's office suspects there may be other victims and is urging anyone with information about Arnold to come forward.
