Filming on Captain America: Brave New World has resumed, with a mysterious new character

Giancarlo Esposito will make his debut in the MCU.

Giancarlo Esposito had recently teased his arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, during a panel with fans. Denying that he would play a new version of Professor Charles Xavier, the Breaking Bad actor announced: CIt will happen sooner than you think.”

“The MCU knocked on my door and it’s a role you can’t predict. It will be teased and there will be a series afterward.”

According to Variety And The Hollywood Reporterso it's in the new movie Captain America that Giancarlo Esposito will make his big debut at Marvel. Shooting has just resumed in Atlanta, for a duration of 22 days, almost a year after the end of filming. These reshoots will make it possible to include new action scenes and therefore the character played by Esposito, for the moment kept secret, but who would be a villain.
