Fast and Furious: Police Share Video of Street Race That Ended in Crash

Washington police say a person will be charged with reckless driving after an illegal street race that led to a crash was caught on traffic cameras across the city.

“Too fast. Too furious,” the Bellevue Police Department posted with the 23-second video Tuesday afternoon. The suspect began the street racing incident around 1 a.m. April 26 on eastbound 112th Avenue at 8th Street Northeast until the collision, police said in an email.

The strung-together video consists of clips from what appear to be four separate traffic cameras. It shows two cars driving so fast through city streets that it's hard to see their makes and models.

One view shows cars speeding through a yellow light that quickly turns red.

One of the vehicles involved appears lighter in color and police identified it as the suspect's white Subaru WRX which was traveling at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The vehicle the Subaru was riding at the time was not identified, but appeared to be a darker color. The streets where the two cars were driving illegally appeared wet from rain as the drivers drove at high speeds.
