The Biden administration has suspended a shipment of U.S.-made munitions to Israel for the first time since the deadly Hamas terrorist attack on Oct. 7, according to a report.
Two Israeli officials told Axios that the arms delivery was stopped last week, leaving Israeli government officials scrambling to understand why.
Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to carry out a military operation in Rafah, a town in southern Gaza where some 1.5 million Palestinians have sought refuge and where Hamas maintains its last stronghold.

The possible Rafah operation to eliminate Hamas terrorists comes despite warnings from President Biden and other Western officials that such an operation would lead to more civilian deaths and worsen an already dire humanitarian crisis.
The Biden administration has said there could be consequences for Israel if it continues the operation without a credible plan to protect civilians.

Biden has also faced criticism from Americans who oppose his support for Israel, most recently evidenced by protests that have erupted on college campuses across the country.

The current war in Gaza began after Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, in which the terrorist organization killed 1,200 people and took around 250 people hostage.
