Mohammad Rasoulof's latest film unveils an intense trailer

The Seeds of the Wild Fig Tree won the Special Jury Prize at Cannes.

If there was one moment that caught the attention of the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which took place last May, it was the screening of Seeds of the wild fig treein the absence of its main actors, Soheila Golestan and Missagh Zareh, who were held in Iran. The only one present on the Croisette to present the film was its director, Mohammad Rasoulofwho defied the ban and fled his country where he was sentenced to eight years in prison for breaking the laws imposed by the regime and the mullahs. His arrival was widely followed and publicized and the film made a strong impression, even if it had to settle for the Special Jury Prize.

At home, her student daughters, Rezvan and Sana, support these revolts that they see on social networks. The family circle is dynamited by the verbal confrontations of ideals and morals between these three elements and the mother who tries to make the link between the two camps.

But when Iman's service weapon mysteriously disappears, he sinks into paranoia and drags his entire family down with him.
