Dr. Sydney Heron, who arrived in season 2, will be putting the coat back on in Seattle.

She made a spectacular entrance at the Seattle hospital in 2006: Dr. Sydney Heron brought sparkle and big smiles to the melancholic lives of Meredith and Cristina during the first seasons of Grey's AnatomyThe hyper-optimistic surgeon appeared in about ten episodes until season 4 (in 2007). And 17 years later, here she is making a comeback that no one saw coming.

The actress Kali Rocha (since crossed in the sitcom Man With a Planopposite Matt LeBlanc) will reprise the role of Dr. Sydney Heron in three episodes of season 21 of Grey's Anatomythis fall. We don't yet know in what context, but we'll recall that she arrived as a fourth-year resident who replaced Bailey to supervise the interns during her maternity leave. She even had a date with McDreamy himself! So is she still as smiley? And why will she come back?

Season 21 of Grey's Anatomy will begin next Thursday, September 26 on ABC. The series can be seen in France on TF1.
