Axel Foley can smile. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Freleased on July 4 on Netflix, attracted 41 million subscribers during its first week online. An excellent score, which places it at the top of the weekly ranking, far ahead of the competition. Beverly Hills Cop 4 is even in the Top 10 of 93 countries and at the top in a good part of them. But not in France, where it is Super Mario: The Movie who is number 1 this week.
Eddie Murphy thus ahead of Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron, who remain strong, in second place, with The Underside of the Family (A Family Affair).
It should be noted that if Beverly Hills Cop 4 made a great start, Under the Seine had done just as well last month!
Xavier Gens' French film also attracted 41 million curious viewers worldwide on Netflix last June. It remains the number 1 non-English film in the world after 5 weeks online.
