Video: Colin Farrell's spectacular transformation into the Penguin

Warner Bros. has released this intense behind-the-scenes makeup footage from The Batman spinoff series.

This is also the lot of a star: spending hours on a chair, in a makeup room, to get into the skin of a character. Colin Farrell underwent every morning a total makeover with the series team to become The Penguin.

Warner has released a short behind-the-scenes video showing the dramatic transformation and the work that went into achieving it.. “There is someone for the teeth, someone for the hair, someone for the face…” says the Irish actor in voiceover, admitting that this moment was also “very intense and so exciting“.

Colin Farrell also said he couldn't stand his costume anymore Penguinat the end of filming. And that he had no real intention of returning to play the character in a second season, if the series was renewed.

The Penguin will be released on Max on September 20 in France.
