Venice Film Festival rewards Pedro Almodovar and two French actors

The jury chaired by Isabelle Huppert awarded the Golden Lion to The Room Next Door.

After ten days of festivities, the Venice Film Festival ended with a celebration of the eternal talent of Pedro AlmodovarThe Spanish filmmaker received the Golden Lion For The Room Next Doorhis first feature film in English, starring Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton. Five years ago, he had already received an honorary Golden Lion for his entire career. At 74, the director is still on fire.

The jury chaired by Isabelle Huppert awarded the Silver Lions to Vermigilio by Maura Delpero (Grand Jury Prize) and The Brutalist by Brady Corbet (best director). Nicole Kidman and Vincent Lindon were awarded the Volpi Cup for best actress and best actor. Another Frenchman, Paul Kircherwas awarded the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Most Promising Actor for his role in Their Children after them Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma.
