Trailer: the new punchy series from the creator of Peaky Blinders

Another exploration of the underworld, but this time in 1880s London.

After the Birmingham gangs of the 1930s, Steven Knight plunges us into the underbelly of London in the 1880s.

The creator of Peaky Blinders unveils the very stylish trailer for its new series, A Thousand Blowswhich will follow Hezekiah (Malachi Kirby) and Alec (Francis Lovehall), two Jamaican friends who find themselves immersed in the criminal underworld of London's East End. There they will meet Mary Carr (Erin Doherty), queen of an all-female gang known as the Forty Elephants, and will cross paths with Sugar Goodson (Stephen Graham), crime lord and notorious boxer.

It will be about boxing, power struggles and survival in the heart of the London underworld, in this costume drama inspired by real-life characters.

A Thousand Blows has 6 1 hour episodes. The series was created, written and produced by Steven Knight.

All episodes will be broadcast on February 21 on Hulu and immediately in France on Disney Plus.
