The 62-year-old actor once again used his little bit of madness to achieve the impossible on the set of Final Reckoning.
Whether he jumps a motorcycle off a cliff or throws a train into the void, Tom Cruise is always ready for the craziest stunts for Mission: Impossible. And this will still be the case in Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning. For his possible last escapade, Ethan Hunt should notably venture deep 20,000 leagues under the sea. The film's official account shared a behind-the-scenes video in which Cruise is seen preparing for a high-risk water stunt. He is seen putting on his wetsuit and communicating with his team before entering a swimming pool.

Another photo (below) shows the world in action underwater performing the stunt in question. He wrote: “The training and preparation we put into this film is the culmination of everything that came before it. I can't wait to share more with you.“

It must be remembered that, in the wake of Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning (2023), the sequel Final Reckoning should begin in a Russian nuclear submarine stranded on the ocean floor. Obviously, Ethan and Tom Cruise have dived in for real for this (opening?) sequence which promises to be as spectacular as usual. The routine of Tom Cruise in short.
Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoningdirected by Christopher McQuarrie, will be released on May 21, 2025 in cinemas in France.
