Jed Brophy appears in all of Tolkien's adaptations. In card games, this is called a three of a kind.

When it comes to anecdotes about The Lord of the Ringsfans have no shortage of them. Among the best known, the one that we tell to anyone we want to introduce to the first viewing, there is Viggo Mortensen's toe injury which, in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, kicks an Orc helmet – a little too hard. The scream heard is not simulated, it is a real scream of pain. But there are other stories surrounding the film adaptations, and on the occasion of the broadcast of season 2 of the Rings of Powerhere is a new anecdote that certainly few people know about.

The public knows him above all for his role as Nori, one of the dwarves in Thorin Oakenshield's company, in the trilogy Hobbit. But this is not the only role played by Jed Brophy. In addition to Nori, the actor has played all sorts of creatures in Middle-earth. A chameleon in Tolkien's universe, he was at once an Orc, an Elf, and a Man in The Lord of the Rings…But also in The Rings of Power !

It all starts with The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring where he appears anonymously hidden under a black sheet. He is one of the nine Nazgul sent to find Frodo. Impossible to recognize him, it must be admitted. Later, in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towershe multiplies appearances. He is first Snaga – the Orc who was a little hungry and wanted to eat Merry and Pippin, captured by Saruman's army. Then, he reappears under another makeup, that of Sharku – the Orc who fell with Aragorn into the precipice during the Wargs' attack. Wounded, he is recovered by Legolas and killed while he announces the death of the ranger.

In the extended version, Jed Brophy also plays a Rohan rider. To complete his filmography, he plays an Elf in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, visible when Arwen begins her journey to the Undying Lands. It is also the child of the actor who plays the son of the Elf and Aragorn, the one she sees in a vision.

After an adventure with the Dwarves in the prequels, he returns to play an Orc in The Rings of Power. He is Vrath, the second of Adar. The spectators remember him for having injured the young Theo (Hugo Brunswick) in the village attacked by the army of the Orcs. He is killed by the Elf Arondir (Ismael Cruz Cordova).
