The creator behind the crazy 2023 animated series confirms it won't have a season 2.
It will have quickly re-landed. Scott Pilgrim takes flightreleased at the end of November 2023, is officially finished at Netflix. It's screenwriter and creator Bryan Lee O'Malley who confirms this via X, suggesting that it was never really possible to consider making a season 2 of Scott Pilgrim :
“We were recently informed that the series would NOT be returning. As you know, we only had one season planned and called in many favors to make it happen, so doing more would have been nearly impossible. Even I know that some of you still have hope.”

O'Malley added that “cIt was an honor to work with all the actors and people from all over the world. It was like conducting a symphony orchestra every day.”
It must be remembered that all actors in the Scott Pilgrim by Edgar Wright had agreed to come back and dub the animated version of their characters: Michael CeraMary Elizabeth Winstead but also Chris Evans and Kieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Aubrey Plaza, Brandon Routh, Alison Pill, Jason Schwartzman, Mae Whitman and Ellen Wong.
