Because in The Story of Souleymanethe hero is an Uber Eats delivery man who struggles in Paris, spied on by the app while he practices repeating a story he made up the day before his interview to finally get a residence permit in France… A non-professional actor (he's a mechanic in Amiens in real life), Abou Sangare plays with impressive accuracy Souleymane, who is constantly threatened with being crushed by the forces around him, as shown in this hyper-tense trailer where we juggle between Uber Eats orders, the need to find money or a bed for the night, police checks… The film is released in theaters on October 9.
