George Clooney's five best scenes
For Out of reachreleased in theaters in 1998, Steven Soderbergh takes on one of Hollywood cinema's most beloved novelists and screenwriters, Elmore Leonard (at the origin in particular of adaptations of 3h10 to Yuma, Jackie Brown Or Get Shorty), whose novel he adapts Out of Sight. As is often the case with Leonard, the film resonates with a spirit pulp uninhibited, notably thanks to its tandem of main actors, George Clooney And Jennifer Lopez. At the time, First was more than convinced: “The sequences mix, the flashbacks respond to each other, the outgoings have fun, the returns have fun, all this with remarkable clarity, a sense of allegro tempo, and the neurons which are exhilarated“.
Out of reach will be broadcast this Sunday at 8:50 p.m. on Arte.
