The first of the new DC movies, “Superman,'' which has been attracting a lot of attention with the release of the trailer, has been announced by Warner Bros. to be released in Japan in the summer of 2025 under the same Japanese title as “Superman.'' . A trailer with subtitles and a Japanese version teaser visual have been delivered.

The teaser visual uses the home version as is. The beautiful and sophisticated phrase “LOOK UP” was also used in English without any Japanese translation or replacement. The image of Superman flying towards the light is depicted as powerfully and vividly as in the Japanese version.

Director James Gunn, who has worked on numerous blockbuster works such as the Guardians of the Galaxy series, The Suicide Squad (director), and the Avengers series (producer), is working with DC Studios. He will serve as the director and scriptwriter for this film.

The new Superman/Clark Kent will be played by David Corenswet (Twisters, Hollywood). He plays two completely different characters: Superman, who is an invincible hero, and Clark Kent, who works as an ordinary newspaper reporter for the major media outlet “Daily Planet'' in order to hide his true identity. Director Gunn also praised him, saying, “David Corenswet will amaze everyone with his brilliance.He is one of the best actors I have ever worked with.''

Rachel Brosnahan (“House of Cards,'' “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel'') plays Lois Lane, Superman's lover who also works at the Daily Planet. He passionately portrays how he goes through trial and error and struggles day by day, while devotedly supporting Superman as a guidepost to show him what's right.

Nicholas Hoult (“Mad Max: Fury Road'') plays Lex Luthor, Superman's greatest enemy and the most intelligent and wealthy genius. He considers Superman to be a danger to the Earth and has a strong rivalry with him. He becomes a self-made billionaire and uses his vast wealth to develop high-tech weapons and weaponry, waiting for the right moment to defeat Superman.



The special video features a song that is an arrangement of John Williams' famous “Superman'' theme song. It shows respect and love for “Superman'' (starring Christopher Reeve), which was released in 1978, and loudly proclaims the beginning of a new “Superman'' and a new DC Universe.
