The Maldoror File: Fabrice Du Welz takes up the Dutroux affair [bande-annonce]

The Belgian filmmaker treats the case of pedophilia and murders through the point of view of a young gendarme played by Anthony Bajon.

To address the horror of the Dutroux affair, which shook Belgium and a good part of Europe in the 90s, Fabrice Du Welz chose to change the names of the protagonists and to allow himself to infuse fiction . No Marc Dutroux in The Maldoror File but a certain Marcel Dedieu (played by Sergi López) and a cop, Paul Chartier (Anthony Bajon), a young idealistic gendarme. The latter joins the secret operation “Maldoror” dedicated to the surveillance of a repeat offender suspect. Confronted with the dysfunctions of the police system, he launches alone into a manhunt which will make him sink into obsession.
