The Karate Kid: Legends trailer is already sending shivers

Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio together under the same dojo, it still looks great!

Kung fu and karate will come together to teach a good lesson. To whom? To the new Karate Kid Already ! The actor Ben Wang24, landed the coveted role. Revealed on Disney+ in American Born Chinesehe was chosen in particular for his varied skills in martial arts, ranging from karate to wing chun/kung fu including gumdo, kempo and taekwondo.

In the long trailer published by Sony (below), we discover that his character, Li, will be trained by two dojo legends, namely Ralph Macchiothe boss of Cobra Kai And Jackie Chan (who took over in the 2010 remake with Jaden Smith). Two branches. A single tree.

Ming-Na Wen will play Li's mother. Joshua Jackson And Sadie Stanley will also appear in the film.

The synopsis details: “Li enters a karate competition to help a friend, but his skills alone are not enough. Li's kung fu teacher, Mr. Han (Chan), calls on the original character of Karate KidDaniel LaRusso (Macchio), to help him, and Li learns a new way to fight, merging their two styles into one for the ultimate martial arts showdown.

Directed by Jonathan Entwistle (who had done The End of the F***ing World on Netflix), Karate Kid: Legends will be released on May 28 in cinemas in France.
