The Boys actress speaks out against fans confusing her with her character

“It's not right and it's not funny to ask me to do these things…”

Unable to tell the difference between reality and fiction? Apparently, some fans of The Boys take cosplay a little too far. Which is publicly deplored Valorie CurryThe American actress, who joined the Prime Video series for season 4, in the role of the dangerous manipulator Firecracker, recounts on social networks an unfortunate event that happened to her a few days ago, during the Comic-Con in Belfast (Northern Ireland).

In her message, she confides having had an unfortunate encounter with two fans who allegedly got “angry” when she refused to play Firecracker with them:

“I just started doing these conventions on my own and most people are lovely, so kind and so respectful (…) But we need to talk about boundaries. What's appropriate and what's not, in terms of behavior.“, insists Valorie Curry.

She then details:

“I know people have seen a character I play do some pretty extreme things on The Boys. I don't care if you're in costume, I don't care if you're in character, it's not right and it's not funny to ask me to do those things in person! It's not right.”

The actress does not say exactly what was asked of her. But it is true that in season 4 of The BoysFirecracker is led to do some pretty hardcore things, like breast-feeding Homelander… Obviously, the actress doesn't accept being confused with her character and asks fans, who are sometimes very invested, to please sort things out.
