Sydney Sweeney unrecognizable as a boxer for her new role

Total transformation for the Euphoria actress who will play boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming biopic.

New look for a new life. Sydney Sweeney changes her style and turns into a boxer for her next role. The young star ofEuphoriaheroine of rom'com' grace Anyone but youbreaks her image as a sex symbol for this biopic on the boxer Christine Martin. With her very 90s mullet cut and a few extra muscles, the actress has become a real athlete.

Filming is underway under the direction of the Australian director David Michôd (Animal Kingdom). Some photos have leaked on the networks (see below) so Sydney Sweeney preferred to take control again by posting these photos herself (below).

Christine Martin is a former professional boxer who fought from 1989 to 2012 and was world champion in the super welterweight category in 2009. In 2010, she also survived an attempted murder by her husband, James Martin. He stabbed Christy multiple times and shot her in their Florida home, but she survived. In 2012, James was convicted of attempted second-degree murder and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Martin later married his former rival Lisa Holewyne. She is now 57 years old.

In the casting of the film, we will see Ben Foster in the role of the violent husband and Merritt Weaver will play Katy O'Brien. No release date planned yet.
