Filming for Season 5, the final chapter of Netflix's popular drama series “Stranger Things,'' has successfully completed.
Filming for the long-awaited Season 5 will begin on January 8, 2024, and will take place over a period of almost a year. Ross Duffer, co-creator of this series, updated his Instagram and wrote about his thoughts on the long-term filming.
“We've been telling this story for almost 10 years. Many of our cast members joined us when they were just kids, 10 or 11 years old. For them, it's not just a show, it's defined their childhood. They grew up before my eyes and became more than just actors, they became family.
And it's not just the cast who are considered family. Many of our staff have been with us since the beginning and hold a special place in our hearts. Their dedication and passion supported this journey. Everyone involved was determined to bring this story to a satisfying conclusion. They put their heart and soul into the show and we couldn't be more proud of what they've accomplished.
We can't wait to bring Season 5 to you next year. Well, until that day. Communication ended. ”
The post announcing the end of filming for the final season includes a video of the red neon “5” disappearing, and an image of Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Elle/Eleven, standing on a pitch-black set. It is attached.
In addition to Ross, Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, also announced the end of filming and posted a message thanking him for the valuable life and career lessons he learned from appearing on the show. Here are the top 10 things we learned from Ross and Matt Duffer, director/executive producer Shawn Levy, and cast members Winona Ryder and Finn Wolfhard.
“Stranger Things” is a story about a young boy, a girl, and their families who get caught up in a series of incidents in the small town of Hawkins in the 1980s when an “underworld” full of mystery and intrigue suddenly appears. The child cast has grown a lot since Season 1, which began streaming in 2016, and we look forward to seeing how each character's fate is portrayed in the final season.
“Stranger Things” Season 5 is scheduled to be released in 2025. Seasons 1 to 4 are being distributed exclusively.
