Sports radio legend Chris “Mad Dog” Russo doesn’t typically talk politics while on air, but during a podcast appearance, he made his opinions on former President Donald Trump known.
Russo joined the “Sports Illustrated Media Podcast” with Jimmy Traina, where the show’s host was asked whether he should talk about sports during an election year.
When asked, Traina called Trump an “animal,” to which Russo proceeded to lash out at the Republican presidential candidate, primarily because of his treatment of current President Joe Biden.

“What does he do?” Russo asked of Trump, via Awful Announcing. “Biden says he’s going to leave, give up. And he kills him? Say what you want about him…but [Biden] He gave his fucking life to the United States starting in 1972. He also had tragedy in his life with his wife and child dying in that car accident… I think his heart, whether you like his politics or not, is generally in the right place. I think he cares.
Russo continued to address Trump's actions after Biden withdrew from the presidential race.

“The fact that [Trump] “You can’t let him walk off stage quietly and give him his day,” Russo said. “Even Biden, when Trump was shot, said, ‘I’m going to call him,’ and he called him by his first name.”
“Even Biden has to stand above the fray sometimes. That really bothered me. Don, can you let this man out with a little grace for 24 hours, six months before the election? And not beat him up… that really bothered me.”
Shortly after Biden announced he was dropping out of the presidential race on July 21, Trump spoke to Fox News Digital's Brooke Singman and called him “the worst president in the history of our country.”
“He's not fit to serve,” Trump continued. “And I wonder: Who's going to lead the country for the next five months?”
Trump recently said Biden had the “right to run” for re-election, despite the Democratic Party “taking it away” from him at a press conference at Mar-a-Lago.
“I'm not a fan of his, as you probably noticed, and he had a heated debate, but that doesn't mean you should just take him out like that,” Trump said.

Trump then said that Biden's replacement, Vice President Kamala Harris, is the “least admired, least respected, worst vice president in the history of our country.”
