Allegheny County police said a girl was struck and killed by a vehicle while riding her bike in Harrison Township.The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Kuntz Street.Police said first responders attempted lifesaving measures but the child died at the scene.Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 spoke with neighbor Geoff Shock who expressed concerned about past incidents involving speeding drivers in the area.“People fly through here constantly,” said Shock. “I mean, nothing’s ever done. I mean, we have a police officer that sits here, but they know where he sets most of the time, so it doesn’t do much.”Shock added, “Something needs to change around here, for the better. It’s sad to see young people getting taken away from us.”Police have not said anything about the driver in Tuesday’s crash or if charges will be filed.The name of the child killed has not yet been released by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office.
