Rachel Zegler promises to play a flamboyant Disney princess in this new live-action film, derived from the animated classic.
We'll see Mufasa this winter in theaters, then it will be the turn of Lilo & Stitch. But in between, Disney will release another live-action adaptation of one of its great animated classics. And not just any one since it will be about Snow Whitetaken from the very first Walt Disney film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).
Obviously, at the origin of the story, there is a German legend transformed into a tale by the Brothers Grimm in the 19th century. But it is the cartoon that this version will take in live action. That being said, the trailer suggests that this won't be a plan or plan remake. Indeed, the feature film will show the princess in a new light, fighting and flamboyant, ready to do anything to bring down her stepmother, the evil queen, who chases her away when she discovers that Snow White overshadows his “perfect and pure beauty“. Exiled, the young woman finds refuge with the Seven Dwarfs, who will not be played by small actors (this had generated vast controversy at the time of filming) but embodied by CGI creatures.
The video gives them ample space while Rachel Zegler once again shows himself to be very comfortable in a new role. The rebel of the last Hunger Games will defend the common people against Gal Gadotthe ugly sovereign, and the revelation of West Side Story by Spielberg will still have his magnificent voice admired in the process.
Directed by Marc Webb, this Snow White live will be released on March 19, 2025 in cinemas in France.
