He still knows this passage from the book of Ezekiel, chapter 25, verse 17, by heart!

“30 years ago, this film changed my life, and it still does!Samuel L. Jackson owes a lot to pulp Fictionwho changed the course of his career in 1994.

While the film of Quentin Tarantino celebrates this week the 30th anniversary of its release in American theaters, the actor posted on Instagram some souvenir photos from the time, notably recounting the film's appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, a memorable sequence of the 7th art crowned by a Palme d 'Gold.

Then in another post on the network, Samuel L. Jackson had fun reenacting Julius Winnfield's iconic speech, in one of the first scenes of pulp Fictionas he prepares to unsolder the dealers who tried to scam his boss, Marcellus Wallace. “Ezekiel 25:17, but yes I still remember it” writes the actor, while he is filmed reciting (part of) his text from the time. In English in the text:

“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and goodwill, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!”

One of the most memorable speeches in 1990s cinema. Even without his suit and with a few years added, Samuel L. Jackson still looks classy.
