A major political drama which will aim to talk about fake news and influence.
A little over a year after the release of Killers of the Flower Moon, Robert de Niro is back, but this time for a TV series. For the first time in his career, the Hollywood legend will take the plunge and lead a series.
It will be about Zero Daya political drama of which we discover the first photos, which above all show off an impressive cast, ranging fromAngela Bassett as US President, until Lizzy Caplan as a young politician, Dan Stevens as an influential journalist, and also Jesse Plemons And Connie Britton.
The six-episode miniseries will feature Robert de Niro as former US President George Mullen, who “is tasked with tracking down the perpetrators of a devastating cyberattack that has wreaked havoc across the country and left thousands dead. As misinformation spreads and the personal ambitions of the powerful in tech, Wall Street and government come into conflict, Mullen's unwavering quest for the truth forces him to confront his own dark secrets…”
The series aims to talk about fake news and influence in modern politics. “How can we detect the truth in a world in crisis that seems to be torn apart by forces beyond our control? And in an age where subterfuge and conspiracy theories flourish, to what extent are these forces the result of our own actions, or even the figment of our own imagination?
Zero Day will be released on February 20 on Netflix.
