The hearing is reopened. The excellent legal thriller Presumed Innocentadapted from Scott Turowwill be entitled to a season 2 and Apple TV+ reveals today what it will be about.
Centered on a female main character, season 2 will be inspired by the novel Dissection of a Murder by Jo Murray, which will only be released in spring 2026 in bookstores. It is the story of a young defense attorney named Leila Reynolds who must handle her first murder case. The problem: her husband happens to be the prosecutor opposite! “Soon, Leila fights to keep her own secrets buried too…”
Even if the casting is not yet known, we understand that Jake Gyllenhaal will not return to the cast and assistant producer Rusty Sabich will not be at the heart of the trial. An appearance cannot be ruled out, however, as Gyllenhaal will return as executive producer, alongside David E. Kelley And Abrams.
