Penns Manor Area Junior/Senior High School students were dismissed on Monday as authorities were called in to investigate a bomb threat.Troopers say a 14-year-old student has been charged in connection with that threat.Pennsylvania State Police were called to the school in Cherryhill Township around 10 a.m. after a note was found inside the bathroom. The note stated there was a bomb in the building and claimed it would detonate at 1:30 p.m.Authorities say staff members were able to review security camera footage in the area and identify a 14-year-old boy as the suspect. Staff members at the school detained the teenager, allegedly finding a pocketknife in his possession. A sweep was done at the school involving the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Emergency and Special Operations Explosives Detection K9 Unit as a precaution.No explosive devices were found.The teen was taken into custody by a trooper and is facing charges of threatening to use weapons of mass destruction, terroristic threats, and possessing a weapon on school property.The student has since been released to his guardian.
