Cillian Murphy reunites with creator Steven Knight to finish the adventures of Tommy Shelby.
Tommy Shelby is back. Announced for months, the film Peaky Blinders finally comes to life.
Netflix yesterday shared a first look at Cillian Murphy in the role of the famous gangster, as well as a photo of the actor alongside Steven Knightthe creator. Two photos to officially announce the start of filming. It is running until the end of the year at Digbeth Loc Studios in Birmingham, and in the West Midlands.
The English series dedicated to the Birmingham gang, after the First World War, ended in 2022 after six seasons.
The movie Peaky Blinders will be a direct continuation and will be directed by Tom Harper, who had already directed several episodes of the series.
Steven Knight wrote the film. The casting is still a secret, but we know that Murphy's Irish compatriot, Barry Keoghanwill be part of the party. And Tim Roth was also recently announced.
The movie Peaky Blinderswhich could be called The Immortal Man, does not yet have a release date.
