Paul Mescal thinks he can make Gladiator 3 and “not in 24 years”

It took more than two decades for Ridley Scott do Gladiator 2. And yet, the 86-year-old director seems to have decided to make Gladiator 3. In any case, the idea is circulating in Hollywood and according to Paul Mescal this new part of the Roman epic is well in the works.

“Oh yes, I'm very excited about Gladiator 3“, replies the 28-year-old Irish actor, interviewed by Variety on the red carpet of the London premiere last night. And he immediately specifies:

“And I don't think it will be in 24 years… although I have no idea when it will be…”

For Paul Mescalthere is little doubt that Gladiator 3 should happen one day. It will definitely depend on its box office score.

In the meantime, the actor should find Ridley Scott for another film. Paul Mescal is in talks to star in the apocalyptic thriller The Dog Starswhere he would play a surviving pilot in an America decimated by a virus. “Fingers crossed that it happens…”
