Notcoin launches NFT game 'Lost DOGS' on The Open Network (TON) blockchain. It is a new Telegram mini-game in collaboration with two other projects.

Lost Dogs is a story-based mini-game on Telegram messenger that combines NOT tokens, NFTs, and a new special token called WOOF. The game is a collaboration between Notcoin and venture capital firm TOP, with plans for future games using blockchain technology.

Notcoin Launches NFT Game 'Lost DOGS' on The Open Network (TON) Blockchain

Notcoin is the first Telegram-based game and a pioneer of the crypto game clicker model. The game has attracted over 35 million players. The gameplay is simple: you have to press a button on the homepage to qualify for an airdrop. After that, $1 billion worth of NOT tokens (on the TON blockchain) are distributed among the players. According to the latest update, the market capitalization of NOT tokens is around $1.3 billion.

Soon after, other play-to-earn (P2E) clicker games appeared on Telegram including Hamster Kombat, Musk Empire, and Rocky Rabbit. However, the Notcoin project ended its life in April 2024. Sasha Plotvinov, the founder of Notcoin, believes that the project will not be stable. Although the development team behind the project has a 4-year plan to build a sustainable ecosystem on the TON blockchain.

Lost Dogs, is another P2E project that uses the NOT token along with an in-game token called WOOF as the basis of their NFT game.

Players collaborate with the game by inviting others and collectively making decisions for the fate of the dogs. The dogs are expected to find their new homes.

According to the team’s latest statement published by The Block, “Every decision is critical, with ethical implications that shape the narrative and influence the dogs’ journeys.” The dogs are actually represented by an NFT collection called Lost Dogs, which launched in March 2023 on the Getgems blockchain TON. Throughout the game’s story, the dogs grow, change, gain new powers, and as the team puts it, “become celebrities.”

“Our goal is to show how NFTs can build and communicate narratives, driving mass adoption through innovative storytelling and gameplay,”

Vanya, founder of Getgems, told The Block. “This is just the first of many games that Notcoin will promote, setting the stage for a new era of interactive blockchain experiences.”

Lost Dogs Users Can Earn $NOT and $WOOF Tokens

There are two types of cryptocurrencies that players can earn in Lost Dogs:

  1. No coins: Users can create NOT tokens if they win decisions that affect dogs each day.
  2. FEED: By completing tasks and winning rounds, players can also earn other tokens called WOOF.

Based on what we know, the gameplay of this project has a duration of 6 weeks. Every day you have to determine the direction for the dogs. The most popular choice will win the round, and also based on pre-defined parameters, the second and third choices will also bring prizes. So, basically this is not a game, but rather a gamification experience, where your decisions will affect the story in real-time.
