Netflix is turning up the heat as the final season is already in sight. Yes, it's coming soon…
Gi-hun isn't out of the woods yet! Season 2 of Squid Game ends on a bloody cliffhanger. But don't panic, as he confided to Première recently, Hwang Dong-hyuk has already finished filming season 3, filmed at the same time. So, you won't have to wait years before seeing it on Netflix. The platform is already announcing a release in 2025 with this first poster below:
“Once season 2 is live, I think it won't be long before the exact launch date for season 3,” confides the creator to Variety before specifying: “I expect it to air probably around summer or fall 2025.”
Warning spoilers!
As for the story, Hwang Dong-hyuk emphasizes that “Gi-hun has now lost everything” after the death of his best friend in episode 7, killed by the “Front Man” (001) who ended up revealing his true face. “The question now is how it will swing. What state will Gi-hun be in? And what will he choose to do? Will he continue his mission? Will he give up or persist? He will be at a critical crossroads at the start of the third season. Gi-hun will no longer be the man he was in season 2.”
It remains to be seen whether the game will be able to resume normally, after the failed revolution of the last episode. “If you saw the hidden clip after the end credits of the last episode of season 2, it gives you a little clue as to what season 3 will bring“tease Hwang Dong-hyuk.

The sequence in question lasts around ten seconds and shows the players joining a new room where Young-hee, the terrible little girl of the 1, 2, 3, Sun, is accompanied by another giant doll: Cheol-su, an equally terrifying little boy! Posted by Netflix on the networks, the video undoubtedly suggests that the game will indeed resume. But what will Cheol-su do?
Remember that this season 3 of Squid Game will be the last in the series.
