New Sonic 3 trailer, featuring two Jim Carreys for the price of one

Shadow was the focus of the first montage, but this one is very different: Dr. Robotnik steals the show.

Konnichiwa, the gamers: Sonic 3 is expected at Christmas at the cinema, still directed by Jeff Fowler, carried by Jim Carrey, James Marsden and Tika Sumpter, and with Ben Schwartz and Idris Elba in the voice cast. The first trailer emphasized Shadowthe sworn enemy of Sega's little heroes, here voiced by Keanu Reeves. He was so powerful that the team called for reinforcements, first their human allies, then their longtime adversary, Dr. Robotnik.

“Konnichi…what?”

The video which has just been revealed by Paramount is very different, placing more emphasis on this antagonist played with malice by Carrey, and on his father, whom he also plays. A duo that seems poised to do some damage!

There is also a focus on the change in location for this sequel, with loads of references to Japanese culture. A good excuse to gently make fun of “competitors” from Sonic, Tails and Knuckles: Pokémon. We also find the same atmosphere and humor of the first two parts, perfectly entertaining for the whole family, whether you have played the games or not.
