Investigation into the death of the star of Friends accelerates. Following the arrests last month, an official date has already been set for the trial of Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Queen of Ketamine,” and Dr. Salvador Plasencia. Both are accused of providing Matthew Perry the drugs that led to his overdose on October 28, 2023.
If convicted, both defendants face decades in prison. Sangha and Plasencia have pleaded not guilty so far.
U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada wrote in legal documents that Sangha and Dr. Salvador Plasencia “took advantage of the dependency problems of Matthew Perry to get rich“.
