The Japanese poster, screening format information, and movie ticket sales information for Marvel's latest film “Kraven the Hunter” by Sony Pictures, the studio behind “Spider-Man” and “Venom,” have all been released at once. Hunt, hunt, and hunt!
Kraven is depicted as Spider-Man's nemesis in the original comics, and is a villain with strength comparable to Venom. With his toned and strong body, beast-like power and speed, and sharpened senses, he will chase his “prey” wherever he goes until he has killed it. This film depicts the bloody story of how he gained his powers and became a notorious hunter.
The Japanese version of the poster depicts Kraven sitting on a throne built on top of many corpses, exuding a presence worthy of being called the king of beasts. Along with the words “I will hunt you down until the end of your blood,” he stares with a sharp gaze as if he is aiming at his prey.
In the United States, this film is already the first Marvel film produced by Sony Pictures to be rated R (Restricted). (The Eirin rating in Japan has yet to be determined.) The poster reminds us that this is a violent film that is different from previous Marvel films.
The film will be shown in IMAX®, Dolby Cinema®, Dolby Atmos®, ScreenX with Dolby Atmos® (all subtitled versions only), 2D, MX4D®, 4DX, ULTRA 4DX, and ScreenX (subtitled version/Japanese dubbed version). Experience the birth of the most violent villain in Marvel history and the extreme action on the ultimate screen.
The Mubichike card will be released on Friday, October 4th with a wild-sized (B3) original poster as a bonus. The poster visual of Craven, full of wildness, standing on a throne made of animal horns, is a limited edition design that can only be obtained as a Mubichike bonus.
“Kraven the Hunter” will be released simultaneously in Japan and the United States on December 13, 2024.
