Marvel Zombies will wait for Halloween: a release date announced

The MCU spin-off series is not planned for release right away.

If the Devil of Hell's Kitchen will resume his activities next March in Daredevil Born Againfor the Zombies of Marvelwe will still have to wait.

Marvel Studios announced the release date for its new animated series Marvel Zombiesbased on the offbeat Marvel comic book saga created by Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips and first published in 2005. It will be seen on October 3, 2025 on Disney Plus, just before Halloween.

Set in an alternate reality, the series reimagines the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a new generation of heroes fight against an ever-expanding zombie plague. Among the voices expected in the vocal casting, we will hear Awkwafina, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Elizabeth Olsen, Randall Park, Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld, Dominique Thorne and Iman Vellaniwho will return to play Kamala Khan, aka Miss Marvel, who will play a central role in the series : “We did the whole thing. It was amazing. So much fun. There are a lot of cool characters in the Marvel Zombies series. And Kamala is kind of the center of everything. She's kind of the Frodo of the history…”

The series is produced by Brian Andrews from a screenplay written by Zeb Wells, who also serves as executive producer. It is inspired by the fifth episode of season 1 of What If…?
