Marvel goes Wicked in Agatha All Along trailer

The MCU witch reveals her dark journey.

A magic wand wave over the MCU. At D23, Disney lifted the veil on Agatha All Alonghis new series derived from the Marvel Universe and centered on Agatha Harkness, crossed in WandaVision in 2021.

It's always Kathryn Hahn who will play the centuries-old witch as she frees herself from the spell Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) used to trap her in Westview at the end of WandaVision. Stripped of her powers, she is determined to regain her magic by traversing the Witches' Road, a mystical but dangerous place that grants any witch who can survive its trials her deepest desire.

She just needs a clan to get through it. Joe Locke will play a mysterious teenager who helps Agatha escape her curse, Sasheer Zamata will be Jennifer Kale, Ali Ahn will play Alice Wu-Gulliver And Patti LuPone will play the divining witch Lilia Calderu. Finally, Aubrey Plaza will clearly bring chaos to the clan, with that grain of madness that we know her for. Each test, it seems, will be accompanied by a new decor and a new look for the witches. We can thus see in the video Agatha transforming into the “Wicked Witch of the West” aka Elphaba of Wizard of Ozwhile Patti LuPone will be Glinda, the Good Witch of the West.

A nod to the cult Broadway musical, Wickedwhich also suggests that the series Agatha could take the same sung path. Besides, Kathryn Hahn and her witches were on stage at D23 this weekend, performing live “Down, down, down the Road, down the Witches' Road,” the show's (musical?) title track, which we hear throughout this trailer.
